Year of the Mom
Happy New Year, everyone!
I've been reading Kristin's blog for a while now and I think she's great. She's issued a challenge for 2009 to be the Year of the Mom and asked us to post what we're all going to do to take better care of ourselves.
Those that know me know that I've been pushing maximum capacity for a while now, and I'm proud to say that I joined a gym around Thanksgiving. Wait, don't get too happy about that yet - the holidays rolled around and I promptly didn't go for 3 weeks. But I am excited to be getting back into a routine, and I plan to go as often as possible (or at least 4 times a week) beginning on January 5.
I'm also going to try to get monthly pedicures. They make me happy and I think I can afford $15 at the little nail place around the corner.
Then there are the basics, like make sure I wash my face every morning and evening and make sure I don't look like a billboard advertisement for white trash when I leave the house. (I know, these seem like a no-brainer, but when one is sleep-deprived one tends to not care about these things),
So, that's my story.
What are YOU going to do for yourself in 2009?
